... David Ayer is negotiating to direct EL-ALAMEIN, a film centered around a series of brutal battles in the desert that found German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel squaring off against Britain's Eighth Army in North Africa, as led by Bernard Montgomery.
The project was originally based off a script penned by David Self, with the most recent draft having been written by James Coyne. Plans are for the film to begin production in early 2020, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian of Di Bonaventura Pictures and Thomas Augsberger producing.
